I found this experience difficult. I couldn’t concentrate. Maybe
because it’s chilly this morning or I’m just not a morning person. I did clear
my mind for a few minutes, but not completely. Im going to try it later tonight
again. To see if I get a better experience, before recommending it or not. I know
what it was I haven’t had a cup of coffee LOL. Research indicates that with
mental training we can change our negative emotions into positive ones. I can
implement this by practicing. When something stresses me. I can look in the
bright side of things, to get a positive reaction. This will help shift my
negative emotions into positive ones.

Hi Ben,
ReplyDeleteI am not a morning person either, and definitely would need that coffee lol. I like your idea of practicing by looking at the bright side of negative situations. This is not always easy, but with time it will get easier.

Hi everyone, I find mornings to be my best time to reflect and prepare for my day. I guess I am a morning person. LOL. I tried the technique twice, once in the morning and evening. I think you have to have an open mind in order to accept things especially when they are different or unfamiliar. A thought just doesn't have to be in the morning or afternoon, it can be anywhere or anytime; that's the great thing about being in control of your own mind.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!

I like the way you weren't able to focus until you have started your day the way you normally do. I agree with this, without starting my day the "normal" way, I'm pretty much useless because I feel lost in the chaos. Did you end up figuring out whether or not you would recommend this? I will. Anyway, I like your description at the end. Sometimes when I see another persons perspective I can see clearer.
ReplyDeleteI too have a hard time focusing on listening to the exercise and clearing my mind. I am always thinking one step ahead and think this practice would really be beneficial for me. I too am going to continue to try to perform this exercise again and continue clearing my mind.
